I agree, “cyber space” can sometimes be as cold as real “space”. Whenever I see dung beetles, I think of Sisyphus rolling the rock up the hill. Maybe there is a joke in there, perhaps Doug is envious of Sisyphus, or he considers him his hero. (Or, if you want to go for the pun, how about his “roll model”… yes, it is a bit of a groaner.)
Hi Guys
I’m a newbe, how good is that? I have looked at the #2 competition and have somewhat modified it. It is now a totally cartooned St Paddy’s Day greeting card with extras. However how does one go about submitting visual material on this site assuming enyone would want to in the first place? It definitely gives new meaning to the words ‘greeting card’…!
I’m very curious to view your submission. I don’t think my website software comes with a file attachment feature for people communicating to the site. However, I can think of 2 possibilities using the Internet.
1. If you have your own website you could upload the file attachment somewhere on the site and then send me the URL link.
2. You could join one of the free file share Internet sites, upload and send me the URL link by submitting a reply to the competition page.
I’m writing a post about the lemmings rushing to “the fiscal cliff” and stumbled across your marvelous cartoon about the lemmings with the one “black sheep” (could it be Obama is the only one wise enough to turn back?). There is no real cliff, of course, except for the one created by the suicidal imagination of the lemmings’ (er… I mean….Congress).
Would you grant me permission to publish your cartoon on Views from the Edge. I LOVE it!!!! Thanks for considering. Gordon
No problems Gordon, just mention my site…..you’ve read more into my post than I ever imagined, but maybe I could have had a red haired female instead (our PRime minister – Julia Gillard)
Merry Christmas!
Marti
THANK YOU, Marti. It’ll go up today or tomorrow. Merry Christmas to you. Drop by Views from the Edge for today’s postings, “2012 Christmas Message from the NRA” parts 1 and 2. Peace to you and Julia 🙂
Hi, in line with the request above, I would like to use two of your roller coaster cartoons. They would be for educational purposes, and you would receive grateful acknowledgement.
Carl
I love the snowflakes!
So do I, even though I live in hot sunny Australia. Having said that, I live in Melbourne which can feel like snowflakes without the snow!
Great cartoons and website!
Thanks for leaving a message. Can get a bit lonely out in cyber space. Glad you enjoy the cartoons.

Gee thanks for the idea. I’ve been looking for new Doug material. Stay tuned, I hope to do something along these lines in a couple of weeks.

What is your copyright policy? I’m an educator and found your Lemmings cartoon perfect for an opening to a presentation I want to give.
No problems with not for profit and educational purposes. Hope it helps to get your message across.
